Habib Erçin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the İkizce Gençlerbirliği defense, Habib Erçin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aşır Mutlu. The İkizce Gençlerbirliği fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aşır Mutlu should have stopped the shot. Coşkun Nahit might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Orbay Sinan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Coşkun Nahit ran back to his position shaking his head. Ali Asım Sebuktekin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orbay Sinan having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erbatur Dilhan in the 35th minute of play forced İkizce Gençlerbirliği's goalkeeper Aşır Mutlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aşır Mutlu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erbatur Dilhan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Habib Erçin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 51st minute, Coşkun Nahit got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Coşkun Nahit's late challenge caught a Uzundere's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Coşkun Nahit helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Uzundere booed when İkizce Gençlerbirliği was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Coşkun Nahit didn't get a good kick on the ball. Uzundere were awarded a corner in the 58th minute after İkizce Gençlerbirliği's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Atilla Bumin Osmanoğulları took the corner. İkizce Gençlerbirliği's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
