After some careless play in the ECEM defense, Yetkin Barın kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Enginsu Başkur. The ECEM fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Enginsu Başkur should have stopped the shot. 10 minutes into the game, Tolgahan Erboğa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Peştemalcı SK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ECEM the free kick. Tolgahan Erboğa kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Kıvanç Tengizalp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Köksal Tümen in the 12th minute of play. Mirkelam Sedat came free with the goalkeeper in the 13th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Kıvanç Tengizalp could save by the left post. A collision led to Peştemalcı SK getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Ricki Setting hit a great ball. Kıvanç Tengizalp was out of position in the 16 minute of play, and Atilla Kağan Uludağ capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Atilla Kağan Uludağ really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Kıvanç Tengizalp made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Mirkelam Sedat sent off a good shot on target. 40 minutes into the match, ECEM's goal looked a bit too open when Yetkin Barın came free, but Enginsu Başkur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

53 minutes into the match, Ali Nejat Yaruk had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kıvanç Tengizalp. Peştemalcı SK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ali Nejat Yaruk was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. If Mirkelam Sedat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
