In the 4th minute, Birecik FK's Arif Bilge Uğuralp seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Arif Bilge Uğuralp the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Birecik FK protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Arif Bilge Uğuralp had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alkın Ayana showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After the first half Celebi were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ferit Tekecan was the one to do the kick off. Melih Kamaci could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Alkın Ayana made a huge save. Celebi's Ahmet Nasir Durukan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferit Tekecan in the 63rd minute of play. Birecik FK's Alkın Ayana proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Birecik FK from getting a goal against them. 68 minutes into the match, Birecik FK's goalkeeper Alkın Ayana had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Melih Kamaci. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cevat Tolunbay in the 69th minute of play forced Birecik FK's goalkeeper Alkın Ayana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 70 minutes of play, Celebi's Mehmet Bedri Seciye made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alkın Ayana was left in no man's land by his defense there! 74 minutes into the match, Abdi Saygın Mahsun dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alkın Ayana, 0-3. Birecik FK's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Abdi Saygın Mahsun 77 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-4. Birecik FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Celebi the free kick. Ferit Tekecan kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Alkın Ayana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cevat Tolunbay in the 84th minute of play. Birecik FK's Alkın Ayana proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Birecik FK from getting a goal against them. 86 minutes into the match, Gigel Muja had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alkın Ayana. Birecik FK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gigel Muja was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Alkın Ayana was out of position in the 88 minute of play, and Gigel Muja capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gigel Muja really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. After some careless play in the Birecik FK defense, Gigel Muja kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alkın Ayana. The Birecik FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alkın Ayana should have stopped the shot.
