The referee ignored Birecik FK's protests and gave Ferit Tekecan a yellow card for diving instead. Ferit Tekecan hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebati Canbolat in the 20th minute of play forced Birecik FK's goalkeeper Alkın Ayana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute Orbay Başsoy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bahtiyar Başarman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Ferit Tekecan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alkın Ayana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mustafa Anıl Hirfanlı, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mustafa Anıl Hirfanlı stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Ferit Tekecan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96thth minute of the game Mustafa Anıl Hirfanlı who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Birecik FK's Alkın Ayana was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
