The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Reha Tanay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Güney Recai in the 3rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Güney Recai managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ergani's supporters rose to their feet, but Güney Recai was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reha Tanay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match clock showed 10 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Refik Halit Yücel sped through cerno f.c.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Reha Tanay. An unexpectedly hard shot by Güney Recai in the 15th minute of play forced cerno f.c.'s goalkeeper Reha Tanay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Reha Tanay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Refik Halit Yücel, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Refik Halit Yücel in the 19th minute of play forced cerno f.c.'s goalkeeper Reha Tanay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute Güney Recai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reha Tanay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, cerno f.c.'s goal looked a bit too open when Refik Halit Yücel came free, but Reha Tanay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to cerno f.c. getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Şimşek Coşkun hit a great ball. Cavit Sancar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ozan Artuç, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Affan Mübarek charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Affan Mübarek the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Güney Recai recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ayvaz Canbulat hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. A hard shot 48 in the game by Bahri Ilıcan from a close distance when the talented Cavit Sancar managed to make a qualified save. Ergani's players were relieved. The cerno f.c. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ergani were winning 0-1.

51 minutes into the game, Rahmi Kayhan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. cerno f.c.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ergani the free kick. Reha Tanay came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Ergani's Refik Halit Yücel. But to his dismay, Refik Halit Yücel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Güney Recai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Reha Tanay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Reha Tanay stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Refik Halit Yücel's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Şimşek Coşkun hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Ozan Artuç's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cavit Sancar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. After 73 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ergani! In the 75th minute there was a penalty for cerno f.c.. Ayvaz Canbulat stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Cavit Sancar. 1-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Güney Recai got free with Reha Tanay in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Reha Tanay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Refik Halit Yücel in the 81st minute of play. Aykan Akşit kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match.
