Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Haldun Baloğlu kicked off to start the match. Merter SK's Lütfi Hızarcı was substituted for Henry Pååk. Adil Durusoy hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. After 5 played minutes, Merter SK's Ulvi Özguc shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mustafa Yaşar Yeler came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Merter SK reached it. In the 7th minute, Haldun Baloğlu fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Sufi Saner, passed just outside the right post. In the 9th minute of the match, Haldun Baloğlu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sufi Saner saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Merter SK's Dalmu Herces in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Azdavay's goalie prevented a goal. With a little luck, Merter SK's Sufi Saner got control of the ball when Orhan Seyfi Bozdoğan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dalmu Herces succeeded in the game's 24th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. 27 minutes into the match, Merter SK's goal looked a bit too open when Haldun Baloğlu came free, but Sufi Saner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sufi Saner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haldun Baloğlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Through an outstanding action, after 31 minutes, Sufi Saner successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 35th minute Haldun Baloğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sufi Saner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arif Burak Tozan charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arif Burak Tozan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Merter SK's Arif Burak Tozan got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the 40th minute, Haldun Baloğlu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sufi Saner was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Mustafa Yaşar Yeler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baybora İlbeyi in the 46th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dalmu Herces was the one to do the kick off. 59 minutes into the match, Merter SK's goal looked a bit too open when Orhan Seyfi Bozdoğan came free, but Sufi Saner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 60th minute, Haldun Baloğlu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Azdavay fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. After 69 played minutes Azdavay got a freekick which was hit by Kurtuluş Yeğin. Sufi Saner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Demiralp Günaydın, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dalmu Herces spun around in front of the goal 76 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Azdavay's goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Haldun Baloğlu in the 77th minute of play forced Merter SK's goalkeeper Sufi Saner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mustafa Yaşar Yeler made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Dalmu Herces sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Azdavay getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Timur Çeliker hit a great ball. 81 minutes into the match, Dalmu Herces notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Azdavay's Mustafa Yaşar Yeler. Mustafa Yaşar Yeler was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The nice shot from Dalmu Herces in the 84thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Mustafa Yaşar Yeler had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. In the 88th minute Timur Çeliker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sufi Saner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Merter SK's Sufi Saner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ertaç Işıner in the 90th minute of play. Sufi Saner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haldun Baloğlu in the 91st minute of play. Orhan Seyfi Bozdoğan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Azdavay walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
