Tibet Taşkınay was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 18th minute, Bayram Kerem ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bilge Toktimur was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Bilge Toktimur made an important save on a dangerous shot by Atalan İlke in the 21st minute. After a defensive mix-up in ABUKSUBUKSPOR SK's zone, Mustafa Kemal Tandoğan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tibet Taşkınay came out of the goal and Mustafa Kemal Tandoğan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 27 minutes into the match, Galata's goalkeeper Bilge Toktimur had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Atalan İlke. 39 minutes into the game, Gürhan Açar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ABUKSUBUKSPOR SK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Galata the free kick. A collision led to ABUKSUBUKSPOR SK getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Gürhan Açar hit a great ball. Atalan İlke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bayram Kerem was the one to do the kick off. Bilge Toktimur was left in no man's land by his defense there! Samir Bayar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bilge Toktimur read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Atalan İlke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Bilge Toktimur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Galata's Ali Atıf Perva got a free kick in the 77th minute. 80 minutes into the match, Galata's goal looked a bit too open when Atalan İlke came free, but Bilge Toktimur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. ABUKSUBUKSPOR SK's Atalan İlke got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 84 played minutes Galata got a freekick which was hit by Baysal Yasun. In the 92nd match minute, Galata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hakkı Kenan Sermet to maneuver through the defense. Galata's Bilge Toktimur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bayram Kerem in the 93rd minute of play. Bilge Toktimur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bayram Kerem, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
