In the 10th minute Kubilay Aydınalp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but İskender Baki Özdemir saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Kürşat Yağan fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bostancık's protests and gave Kürşat Yağan a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Bostancık's Kürşat Yağan got a free kick in the 11th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Bostancık's zone, Ferhan Mertoğul stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tarkan Salman came out of the goal and Ferhan Mertoğul tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ferhan Mertoğul sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Bostancık getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Kürşat Yağan hit a great ball. Ferhan Mertoğul received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Tarkan Salman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Özgür Gökyüzü sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kubilay Aydınalp to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Denizlispor SK's İskender Baki Özdemir got control of the ball when Kubilay Aydınalp tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Bostancık defense, Ferhan Mertoğul kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tarkan Salman. The Bostancık fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tarkan Salman should have stopped the shot. Sait Nedret fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without İskender Baki Özdemir having to interfere. Bostancık's Tarkan Salman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferhan Mertoğul in the 85th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferhan Mertoğul in the 86th minute of play forced Bostancık's goalkeeper Tarkan Salman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 88 minutes into the game, Özgür Gökyüzü was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Denizlispor SK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bostancık the free kick. After 88 played minutes Denizlispor SK got a freekick which was hit by Özgür Gökyüzü. 89 minutes into the game, Ferhan Mertoğul cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Tarkan Salman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ferhan Mertoğul fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tarkan Salman having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kubilay Aydınalp got free with İskender Baki Özdemir in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Denizlispor SK had played much better football throughout.
