In the 13th minute Ferhan Mertoğul shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vefa İlkay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vefa İlkay didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ferhan Mertoğul went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Nurkan Karan struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. İskender Baki Özdemir didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for YSNGÜCÜ. After 31 minutes of play, Denizlispor SK's Ferhan Mertoğul made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vefa İlkay was left in no man's land by his defense there! kaya İdil kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. After 37 played minutes YSNGÜCÜ got a freekick which was hit by Lütfullah Cangun. With an all-out effort, YSNGÜCÜ's İskender Baki Özdemir threw himself towards the right post 43 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Şevket Oğuzkan, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Şevket Oğuzkan to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Denizlispor SK got a freekick which was hit by Güray Kurman. İskender Baki Özdemir stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Şevket Oğuzkan's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Cezmi Uğursal hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. İskender Baki Özdemir made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nurkan Karan in the 69th minute of play. Ferhan Mertoğul blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vefa İlkay having to make a save. 77 minutes into the game, Lütfullah Cangun was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. YSNGÜCÜ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Denizlispor SK the free kick. Lütfullah Cangun hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Ferhan Mertoğul sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nurkan Karan in the 85th minute of play forced Denizlispor SK's goalkeeper İskender Baki Özdemir to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Denizlispor SK defense, Nurkan Karan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of İskender Baki Özdemir. The Denizlispor SK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that İskender Baki Özdemir should have stopped the shot. If Ferhan Mertoğul had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Denizlispor SK played a much better game than YSNGÜCÜ and deserved their victory. The YSNGÜCÜ players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
