Spectators: 6667 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1667, VIP seats: 0) Ahmet Göktuğ Umuralp started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 4 minutes into the match, Sapanca's goal looked a bit too open when Bedrettin Atlıoğlu came free, but Cahit Duha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Bedrettin Atlıoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 12 minutes, Bedrettin Atlıoğlu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Melikgazi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bedrettin Atlıoğlu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Melikgazi booed when Sapanca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sezgin Utku didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Sapanca defense, Bedrettin Atlıoğlu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cahit Duha. The Sapanca fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cahit Duha should have stopped the shot. 33 minutes into the game, Melikgazi's Bedrettin Atlıoğlu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cahit Duha made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. After 38th play minutes Bedrettin Atlıoğlu shot 0-4, a short shot which went by Cahit Duha and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 43rd minute, Bartlomiej Klewinski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half Melikgazi were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Bedrettin Atlıoğlu made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Güner Maksut made a precise shot to the right of Özdemir Kutberk. Melikgazi's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. After 55 minutes, Bedrettin Atlıoğlu made it 1-5 with a short kick to the right side. Sapanca's Cahit Duha tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Cahit Duha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bedrettin Atlıoğlu in the 60th minute of play. In the 64th minute, Aybar Sebuktekin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 65th minute of the match Batu Kadrettin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Özdemir Kutberk showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bedrettin Atlıoğlu in the 70th minute of play forced Sapanca's goalkeeper Cahit Duha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Sapanca getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Halit Ziya Mert hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Sapanca's zone, Bedrettin Atlıoğlu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cahit Duha came out of the goal and Bedrettin Atlıoğlu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Melikgazi's Bedrettin Atlıoğlu got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 84 minutes into the game, Ahmet Göktuğ Umuralp cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-5. Özdemir Kutberk was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sapanca's defense didn't have a chance, in the 88th minute, when Bedrettin Atlıoğlu scored to the left of an out of position Cahit Duha, making the score, 2-6. When the match was over Melikgazi could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sapanca throughout the match.
