Yaşar Nuri Raif received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rauf Nebahattin came out and tried to block the shot, but Yaşar Nuri Raif slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 20th minute. After having played for 23 minutes, Yaşar Nuri Raif managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cermik FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yaşar Nuri Raif was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sarayönü's Gökmen Sidam got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 36 minutes into the match, Sarayönü's Ali Kağan Baykal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hatemi Necid narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 39 played minutes Sarayönü got a freekick which was hit by Tacettin Rami. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 41st minute of the game. One of Cermik FK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sarayönü:s goal. In the 43rd minute there was a penalty for Sarayönü. Ali Nejat Refah stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Hatemi Necid. 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Yaşar Nuri Raif was the one to do the kick off. Hayrettin Kara's late challenge caught a Cermik FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hayrettin Kara helped the player get up and apologised. In the 52nd match minute, Sarayönü was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hayrettin Kara to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Ali Kağan Baykal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hatemi Necid was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. Hayrettin Kara got his second yellow card in the match during the 61st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Hayrettin Kara hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 63rd minute, Sancarbey Cevval ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rauf Nebahattin was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Sancarbey Cevval put it in 4-1 from a short distance just to the right of Rauf Nebahattin. Hatemi Necid came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Sarayönü's Gökmen Sidam. But to his dismay, Gökmen Sidam quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. If Sancarbey Cevval had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79th minute, Cermik FK's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gökmen Sidam fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 80 minutes into the match, Gökmen Sidam notched a goal, 4-3, to the right of Cermik FK's Hatemi Necid. Hatemi Necid was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 92nd minute, Mehmet Hamdi Erez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Gökmen Sidam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sarayönü's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
