The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Abay Ongun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Akın İrfanoğlu in the 34th minute of the match. Saffet Uğurel was shown his second yellow card after 34 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 35 played minutes Agva FK got a freekick which was hit by Saffet Uğurel. 36 minutes into the match, Agva FK's goalkeeper Abay Ongun had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Behiç Ulusu. Behiç Ulusu in the 42ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Abay Ongun, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Can's Akın İrfanoğlu got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ahmet Gündüz Niyazi to make the kick off. Ahmet Gündüz Niyazi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 52ndth minute tested the skills of Yahya Selil when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ahmet Gündüz Niyazi got free with Yahya Selil in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Agva FK's Abay Ongun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Akın İrfanoğlu in the 72nd minute of play. If Akın İrfanoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Behiç Ulusu scored 3-0 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Abay Ongun, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Abay Ongun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Behiç Ulusu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Agva FK's Abdulkadir Denizcan suffered a concussion after 94 minutes and had to leave the field. Bilgin Özkut charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bilgin Özkut the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bilgin Özkut hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Can's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
