Eser Canfer was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to METU CRP getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Ertaç Kumuk hit a great ball. Birol İmren struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Eser Canfer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Baspinar. If Nizam Eskici had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 12thth minute of the game Ahmet Danış Daman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but METU CRP's Eser Canfer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Güray Özender made an important save on a dangerous shot by Serbülent Akartürk in the 13th minute. Baspinar's defense didn't have a chance, in the 15th minute, when Nizam Eskici scored to the left of an out of position Güray Özender, making the score, 1-1. After 17 played minutes METU CRP got a freekick which was hit by Ertaç Kumuk. Eser Canfer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gökcan Ziver, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th minute Nizam Eskici shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Güray Özender saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind METU CRP's goalkeeper Eser Canfer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 46th minute Gökcan Ziver shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eser Canfer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Nizam Eskici made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Baspinar's goal looked a bit too open when Serbülent Akartürk came free, but Güray Özender reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The METU CRP fans' excitement grew in the 54th match minute when METU CRP's Serbülent Akartürk looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Nizam Eskici had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gökcan Ziver got free with Eser Canfer in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nizam Eskici recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 82 minutes of play, METU CRP's Nizam Eskici made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Güray Özender was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 86 played minutes Baspinar got a freekick which was hit by Rahmi Nedim. Güray Özender took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nizam Eskici, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of METU CRP booed when Baspinar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hakkı Deniz Felek didn't get a good kick on the ball.
