When Samim Demiroğlu fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Leader's protests and gave Samim Demiroğlu a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Leader getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Samim Demiroğlu hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Körfez SK's Hasan Tahsin Yabgu got a free kick in the 7th minute. In the 8th minute of the match Aziz Sedat sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Saip Sidal skillfully saved the ball. In the 13th minute of the match Çağatay Özveren shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tuncay Akpolat showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 15th match minute, Körfez SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hasan Tahsin Yabgu to maneuver through the defense. Leader's Tuncay Akpolat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ergin Ataoğlu in the 18th minute of play. Saip Hacıbeyoğlu struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Tuncay Akpolat didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Körfez SK. Ergin Ataoğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Saip Sidal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kılıç Uzgoren, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Güneri Diriğ hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Saip Hacıbeyoğlu took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tuncay Akpolat. Tuncay Akpolat dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 45thth minute of the game Saip Hacıbeyoğlu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Leader's Tuncay Akpolat was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After the first half Körfez SK were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tibet Veysel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Saip Hacıbeyoğlu in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tuncay Akpolat saved Leader from getting behind. Körfez SK's Ergin Ataoğlu got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Saip Hacıbeyoğlu struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Tuncay Akpolat didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Körfez SK. If Saip Hacıbeyoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Leader's zone, Ergin Ataoğlu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tuncay Akpolat came out of the goal and Ergin Ataoğlu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Saip Hacıbeyoğlu in the 68th managed to get into a good position. Saip Hacıbeyoğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Tuncay Akpolat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Saip Sidal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fethi Topay, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Tuncay Akpolat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saip Hacıbeyoğlu in the 88th minute of the match. Körfez SK's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
