Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Denis Eremia started the match with the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Şadi Geylani managed to get in a good position for a shot. MERSİN KARADUVAR SPOR's supporters rose to their feet, but Şadi Geylani was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Asım Arif Aktekin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 8 minutes, Ergincan Doğanten managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Izmit's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ergincan Doğanten was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 10 minutes into the match, Ergincan Doğanten notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of MERSİN KARADUVAR SPOR's Sezen Saltık. Sezen Saltık was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Izmit booed when MERSİN KARADUVAR SPOR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Şadi Geylani didn't get a good kick on the ball. 17 minutes into the match, MERSİN KARADUVAR SPOR's goal looked a bit too open when Atıf Taib came free, but Sezen Saltık reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kerimhan Akburçak hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Şadi Geylani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Asım Arif Aktekin having to interfere. Vahit Yöntem kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Ahmet Efe Ergunalp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Asım Arif Aktekin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 26 minutes into the match, Denis Eremia notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Izmit's Asım Arif Aktekin. Asım Arif Aktekin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 29 played minutes Izmit got a freekick which was hit by Vahit Yöntem. If Şadi Geylani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Balamir Dirican kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Denis Eremia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Asım Arif Aktekin made a huge save. Sezen Saltık showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vahit Yöntem in the 41st minute of the match. Denis Eremia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Asım Arif Aktekin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Denis Eremia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After 58 minutes of play, MERSİN KARADUVAR SPOR's Ahmet Efe Ergunalp made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Asım Arif Aktekin was left in no man's land by his defense there! Denis Eremia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Yiğitcan Toktuğ fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Asım Arif Aktekin having to interfere. In the 71st minute Denis Eremia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Asım Arif Aktekin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, MERSİN KARADUVAR SPOR's goalkeeper Sezen Saltık had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ergincan Doğanten. Asım Arif Aktekin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Efe Ergunalp in the 79th minute of play. Ergincan Doğanten could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Sezen Saltık made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Denis Eremia in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Asım Arif Aktekin saved Izmit from getting behind. Denis Eremia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Asım Arif Aktekin having to make a save. 93 minutes into the match, Izmit's goal looked a bit too open when Denis Eremia came free, but Asım Arif Aktekin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sezen Saltık made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ergincan Doğanten in the 95th minute.
