The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Zikri Cezlan came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Ceylanpinar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zikri Cezlan couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Şansal Tekinalp in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nedim Süleymanoğlu saved Cinar FK from getting behind. If Zikri Cezlan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 22 minutes into the match, Ceylanpinar's goal looked a bit too open when Doğan Bedih came free, but Abdi Rukni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Cinar FK booed when Ceylanpinar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hayrullah Yabgu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abdi Rukni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Özalp Ayçetin in the 25th minute of the match. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 40th minute, Zikri Cezlan fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Nedim Süleymanoğlu, passed just outside the right post. After having played for 43 minutes, Christof Wloka managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ceylanpinar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christof Wloka was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Abdi Rukni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Özalp Ayçetin in the 45th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Şansal Tekinalp made a kick off. 59 minutes into the game, Cinar FK's Hacı Ali Berksan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Abdi Rukni made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Hacı Ali Berksan sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Cinar FK booed when Ceylanpinar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nesto Novo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nedim Süleymanoğlu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Şansal Tekinalp in the 96th minute of play. Although Ceylanpinar had been in control for most of the match, Cinar FK still came away with the win.
