In the 18th minute Semi Kadıoğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denizhan Uğuş saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Kocaelispor getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Mehmet Hamdi Sidam hit a great ball. Semi Kadıoğlu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Kocaelispor fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 35th minute. Penalty! Neşat Serir shot the penalty kick right outside the post. 40 minutes into the game, TURGUTLUSPOR's Macit Erkılınç nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Denizhan Uğuş made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 48th minute Macit Erkılınç shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denizhan Uğuş saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Semi Kadıoğlu was the one to do the kick off. Macit Erkılınç recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Macit Erkılınç managed to get in a good position for a shot. TURGUTLUSPOR's supporters rose to their feet, but Macit Erkılınç was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Denizhan Uğuş breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ahmet Ozan Tanyeri in the 72ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Denizhan Uğuş, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 75 minutes into the game, TURGUTLUSPOR's Macit Erkılınç nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Macit Erkılınçs short, quick shot in the 83rdth minute got Denizhan Uğuş to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Aras Görkem Malgır blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Abdulkerim Evvel having to make a save. Macit Erkılınç received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Denizhan Uğuş tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Denizhan Uğuş made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Semi Kadıoğlu in the 95th minute of play. TURGUTLUSPOR played a much better game than Kocaelispor and deserved their victory. The Kocaelispor players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
