Yavuz Selim Çoğaş could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Mehmet Osman Samil made a huge save. 13 minutes into the match, Kayserispor's Müfit Tengiz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mehmet Osman Samil narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 22 played minutes Cimbom FC got a freekick which was hit by Işıkalp Ereken. Müfit Tengiz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mehmet Osman Samil read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. After 31 played minutes Cimbom FC got a freekick which was hit by Ferman Tokuzer. After 32 minutes, Ahmet Korcan Sabahaddin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kayserispor and the Cimbom FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ahmet Korcan Sabahaddin hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. If Ferman Tokuzer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tahsin Uğuz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Işıkalp Ereken in the 39th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Adnan Özkutay managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cimbom FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Adnan Özkutay was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tahsin Uğuz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 42 played minutes Kayserispor got a freekick which was hit by Ahmet Korcan Sabahaddin. A hard shot by Kılıçhan Tahir from long distance, 44 minutes into the match, got Mehmet Osman Samil's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. With an all-out effort, Kayserispor's Mehmet Osman Samil threw himself towards the right post 47 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Demirhan Atabek, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Cimbom FC's Mehmet Osman Samil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Müfit Tengiz in the 73rd minute of play. Yavuz Selim Çoğaş might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mehmet Osman Samil. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The supporters of Kayserispor booed when Cimbom FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Işıkalp Ereken didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 89 minutes, Yavuz Selim Çoğaş made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Cimbom FC's Mehmet Osman Samil tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.
