Afyon JK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paşa Özdilmaç was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Paşa Özdilmaç had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Başar Eslem might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mürsel Semih. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Başar Eslem ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 76 minutes, Paşa Özdilmaç managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The audience was convinced that Paşa Özdilmaç's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mürsel Semih was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. When Başar Eslem came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Afyon JK fans jumped to their feet.
