Egemen Cengel hit a great ball. Cengiz Durualp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gonzo Palomar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Egemen Cengel might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Levent Çolak. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Egemen Cengel ran back to his position shaking his head. Cengiz Durualp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kamer Doğanlar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Baykam Özdener came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the united fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baykam Özdener couldn't finish the play. 28 minutes into the game, Egemen Cengel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Levent Çolak was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tahir Yamaç charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tahir Yamaç the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Bornova SK's Tahir Yamaç got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Gonzo Palomar scored 2-2 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cengiz Durualp, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baykam Özdener in the 44th minute of play forced Bornova SK's goalkeeper Cengiz Durualp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th minute of the match Ahmet Harun Çavlı shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cengiz Durualp showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gonzo Palomar was the one to do the kick off. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Baykam Özdener took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Cengiz Durualp to make any attempt to save it. Gonzo Palomar succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-5 in the 61st playminute. In the 64th minute, Gonzo Palomar reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cengiz Durualp. The goal made the score 2-6. Gonzo Palomar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cengiz Durualp having to interfere. Gonzo Palomar who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 72ndth minute tested the skills of Cengiz Durualp when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Levent Çolak stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hikmet Pekgöz's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. Ahmet Emir Koyak kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. After having played for 80 minutes, Hikmet Pekgöz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bornova SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hikmet Pekgöz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gonzo Palomar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, united's Gonzo Palomar got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Bornova SK's Tahir Yamaç got his second yellow card of the match in the 95th minute. The referee ordered Tahir Yamaç off the ground. Tahir Yamaç kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. united's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
