Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Özen Öztay got the match started through his kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Özen Öztay in the 4th minute of play forced AKYILDIZ FK's goalkeeper Saruhan Harzemşah to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Saruhan Harzemşah came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Karsiyaka SK's Ahmet Arif Özmen. But to his dismay, Ahmet Arif Özmen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Saruhan Harzemşah made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Arif Özmen in the 13th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, AKYILDIZ FK's goal looked a bit too open when Özen Öztay came free, but Saruhan Harzemşah reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute of the match Bedirhan Sulasi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Saruhan Harzemşah skillfully saved the ball. Ahmet Arif Özmen scored 0-2 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Saruhan Harzemşah, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Ahmet Arif Özmen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Karsiyaka SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Ahmet Arif Özmen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Saruhan Harzemşah breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Saruhan Harzemşah took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Özen Öztay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ercan Akbel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mecnun Koç, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. 39 minutes into the game, Akın Cengaver was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AKYILDIZ FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Karsiyaka SK the free kick. After 39 played minutes AKYILDIZ FK got a freekick which was hit by Akın Cengaver. After 41 minutes, Mecnun Koç mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AKYILDIZ FK and the Karsiyaka SK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Saruhan Harzemşah was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mecnun Koç made a kick off. In the 54th minute, Akın Cengaver got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Saruhan Harzemşah was out of position in the 57 minute of play, and Özen Öztay capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Özen Öztay really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. Özen Öztay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saruhan Harzemşah having to interfere. Karsiyaka SK's Ahmet Arif Özmen got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Şahin Öztaş came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the AKYILDIZ FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Şahin Öztaş couldn't finish the play. In the 80th minute Özen Öztay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saruhan Harzemşah saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Saruhan Harzemşah made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Ahmet Arif Özmen sent off a good shot on target. In the 86th minute Şahin Öztaş shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ercan Akbel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Özen Öztay came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Karsiyaka SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Özen Öztay couldn't finish the play.
