Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Aybars Kayan started the match with the kick off. Aybars Kayan hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. After having played for 4 minutes, Olgun Hancı managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gediz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olgun Hancı was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Olgun Hancı during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Olgun Hancı hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Aybars Kayan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aktan Can was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. The supporters of Gediz booed when Kiziltoprak was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Davut Erincer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Olgun Hancı came free with the goalkeeper in the 14th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ceyhun Yamaner could save by the left post. Seyhan Yalım hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. In the 30th minute, Tugay Ökkeş got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Seyhan Yalım charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Seyhan Yalım the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Tugay Ökkeş had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 39 minutes into the game, Tugay Ökkeş recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ceyhun Yamaner. Tugay Ökkeş showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Ceyhun Yamaner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tugay Ökkeş in the 43rd minute of the match. A collision led to Kiziltoprak getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Seyhan Yalım hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Kiziltoprak's zone, Tugay Ökkeş stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ceyhun Yamaner came out of the goal and Tugay Ökkeş tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ceyhun Yamaner was out of position in the 48 minute of play, and Tugay Ökkeş capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Tugay Ökkeş really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0.

The wind increased when Tugay Ökkeş made the kick off in the second half. Ceyhun Yamaner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tugay Ökkeş in the 59th minute of play. Aktan Can was a little too slow when Aybars Kayan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 61st minute. The score was now 3-1. Ceyhun Yamaner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tugay Ökkeş, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 67th minute of the match Gediz got a corner. Kiziltoprak's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Yavuz Selim Çinuçin ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Gediz's corner Yavuz Selim Çinuçin fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ceyhun Yamaner quite easily take care of the ball. Ahmet Davut Erincer kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Seyhan Yalım hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. 76 minutes into the game, Mustafa Oğuz Lütfullah cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Ceyhun Yamaner was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 79 minutes into the game, Tugay Ökkeş cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1.
