Güntekin Recai charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After a defensive mix-up in Zeytinburnu's zone, Bilgin Aurelio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alişan İstikbal came out of the goal and Bilgin Aurelio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bilgin Aurelio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Alişan İstikbal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Necip Fazıl Boysan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kalkandere's supporters rose to their feet, but Necip Fazıl Boysan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
