Spectators: 7130 (Terracing: 5457, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 0) Istanbul FC's Sebastian Bank started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Kartal Spor's zone, Sebastian Bank stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. The supporters of Kartal Spor booed when Istanbul FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Bedri Necmi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14th minute, Emir Mengü got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Istanbul FC's Günalp Ayıkoğlu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Istanbul FC from getting a goal against them. Serdar Doğan struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Cesare Sergi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Istanbul FC. When Murat Kayıboylu came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Kartal Spor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Murat Kayıboylu couldn't finish the play. After 79 played minutes Istanbul FC got a freekick which was hit by Serdar Doğan. If Sebastian Bank had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. Emir Mengü fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Günalp Ayıkoğlu having to interfere. Fang Jian Feng took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 95th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Günalp Ayıkoğlu. Istanbul FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Istanbul FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
