After 11 played minutes Esen Uğurlubay rounded Hacibektas's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. When Serkan Teren fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ertuğrul FK's protests and gave Serkan Teren a yellow card for diving instead. Serkan Teren hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. The supporters of Ertuğrul FK booed when Hacibektas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Bedri Hüryaşar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Esen Uğurlubay received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. The coaching staff of Hacibektas protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Aybars Karaman had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 31 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Hacibektas! Bahri Akbal shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Orhan Veli Denizalp was the one to do the kick off. Orhan Veli Denizalps short, quick shot in the 73rdth minute got Arif Tugay Benlioğlu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Orhan Veli Denizalp could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Arif Tugay Benlioğlu made a huge save. Abdi Mehmet Kuddusi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yiğit Şahinalp in the 78th minute of play. Yiğit Şahinalp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute.
