The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gürsel Hanecioğlu helped the player get up and apologised. Gürsel Hanecioğlu kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Tanju Hallaç sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gürol Ünver might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zekai Alp. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gürol Ünver ran back to his position shaking his head. After 19 played minutes fenerbahce got a freekick which was hit by Çakabey Ruşen. With an all-out effort, fenerbahce's Ersin Ilıcak threw himself towards the right post 25 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Hürkan Eracar, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Tanju Hallaç fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zekai Alp having to interfere. In the 30th minute, Gürol Ünver got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. fenerbahce's Zekai Alp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tanju Hallaç in the 32nd minute of play. Tanju Hallaç fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zekai Alp having to interfere. In the 35thth minute of the game Gürol Ünver who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but fenerbahce's Zekai Alp was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Zekai Alp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gürol Ünver in the 40th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Gürol Ünver's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zekai Alp was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. Tanju Hallaç received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Zekai Alp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gürol Ünver in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zekai Alp saved fenerbahce from getting behind. In the 47thth minute of the game Gürol Ünver who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but fenerbahce's Zekai Alp was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gürol Ünver made a kick off. Gürol Ünver fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zekai Alp having to interfere. Zekai Alp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gürol Ünver in the 61st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tanju Hallaç got free with Zekai Alp in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gencalp Yezid made a great header on Agri's corner, it was just that fenerbahce's Zekai Alp managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 68th minute, Şenel Tuğaltay got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 71 minutes into the match, Baykan Kudret notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Agri's Ersin Ilıcak. Ersin Ilıcak was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Şenel Tuğaltay took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 80th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Zekai Alp. fenerbahce's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Hürkan Eracar took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ersin Ilıcak. Ersin Ilıcak dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Gürol Ünver struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Zekai Alp didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Agri. 2-1 became the score in the 91st minute when Gürol Ünver elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The fenerbahce players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
