After the first half Derrule 99 were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Derrule 99's supporters rose to their feet, but Ulaş Orkutay was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Saadettin Kalhan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 85 minutes into the match, Halkapinar JK's goalkeeper Saadettin Kalhan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ahmet Necdet Sungurtekin. Hasan Tahsin Ilıcan struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Saadettin Kalhan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Derrule 99. In the game's 91st minute Derrule 99's Hüseyin Cahit Beyazit took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Saadettin Kalhan and thus the score was 2-6. Saadettin Kalhan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ogün Yaren, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. When the final whistle sounded Derrule 99 left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Halkapinar JK.
