Utkan Tunçkılıç showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Oğuz Ersoy in the 32nd minute of the match. Kuddusî Ökmener could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Mehmet Bilge Arslanoğlu made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baturalp Geçer in the 38th minute of play forced Saray's goalkeeper Utkan Tunçkılıç to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Saray's Utkan Tunçkılıç played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet Oğuz Ersoy in the 41st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Recai Secaat during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ahmet Oğuz Ersoy scored 0-1 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Utkan Tunçkılıç, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

Mehmet Bilge Arslanoğlu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ramiz Yöner went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Baturalp Geçer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Utkan Tunçkılıç having to interfere. Ahmet Oğuz Ersoy struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Utkan Tunçkılıç didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Iznik. Kuddusî Ökmener fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mehmet Bilge Arslanoğlu having to interfere. Saray's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
