Vahdet Tanuğur made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After a rather tough play, ResPect TeaM's Türkeş Oytunç got a free kick in the 9th minute. When Suat Urangu came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Cayeli fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Suat Urangu couldn't finish the play. In the 13th match minute, ResPect TeaM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ali Çağrı Türcan to maneuver through the defense. 20 minutes into the game, Tayfur Türeli was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cayeli's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ResPect TeaM the free kick. After a rather tough play, Cayeli's Tayfur Türeli got a free kick in the 20th minute. After recieving a nice pass, ResPect TeaM's Battal Gazi Sabi tried to score from far away in the 21st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Vahdet Tanuğur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Necdet Orus, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Bulut Uygur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cayeli's defense didn't have a chance, in the 30th minute, when Necdet Orus scored to the left of an out of position Vahdet Tanuğur, making the score, 2-0. Vahdet Tanuğur made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Necdet Orus sent off a good shot on target. ResPect TeaM's Ataol Erdemer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by İsmail Hakkı İncirli in the 35th minute of play. Ataol Erdemer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raik Bekdil in the 36th minute of the match. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind ResPect TeaM's goalkeeper Ataol Erdemer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Necdet Orus to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, İsmail Hakkı İncirli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Şeref Üçok's late challenge caught a Cayeli's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Şeref Üçok helped the player get up and apologised.
