Resul Bilgiç dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Şenel Temizkan in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Resul Bilgiç prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 12th match minute, Arapkir JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kahraman Benli to maneuver through the defense. Şenel Altuner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Şenel Temizkan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Resul Bilgiç having to interfere. The supporters of Arapkir JK booed when İzmir Cyclone was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mesut Remiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adil Ortaç sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 27 minutes into the match, Arapkir JK's goalkeeper Namık Kılıçhan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Şenel Altuner. Alkan Eraslan hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Şenel Temizkan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Resul Bilgiç tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arapkir JK's Namık Kılıçhan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Engin Eren in the 37th minute of play. Resul Bilgiç took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adil Ortaç, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mesut Remiz's late challenge caught a Arapkir JK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mesut Remiz helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, İzmir Cyclone's Mesut Remiz got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Adil Ortaç to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Arapkir JK's Adil Ortaç sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Resul Bilgiç narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Alkan Eraslan fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Arapkir JK's protests and gave Alkan Eraslan a yellow card for diving instead. After 68 played minutes Arapkir JK got a freekick which was hit by Alkan Eraslan. If Engin Eren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the last second Resul Bilgiç throw himself and got hold of the ball when Alkan Eraslan in the 74thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Engin Eren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adil Ortaç in the 86th minute of play forced İzmir Cyclone's goalkeeper Resul Bilgiç to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Şenel Temizkan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Resul Bilgiç having to interfere. Namık Kılıçhan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Engin Eren went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. The Arapkir JK players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
