The referee ignored Ceylanpinar's protests and gave Arif Memduh Çağlayan a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Ceylanpinar getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Despite being the better team, Ceylanpinar failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
