Karahan Erokay was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Erkan Tahir showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 7 minute of play. Haluk Bircanoğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Hüsamettin Alpsoy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hüsamettin Alpsoy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bora Konguralp in the 27th minute of the match. After some careless play in the GNC FC defense, Melih Cevdet Onultan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Karahan Erokay. The GNC FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Karahan Erokay should have stopped the shot. Sögüt FK's Hüsamettin Alpsoy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ceyhun Özdeğer in the 39th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Bora Konguralp's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hüsamettin Alpsoy was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. 46 minutes into the match, Haluk Bircanoğlu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hüsamettin Alpsoy. If Bora Konguralp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 69 minutes into the match, Sögüt FK's goalkeeper Hüsamettin Alpsoy had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ceyhun Özdeğer. Haluk Bircanoğlu might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hüsamettin Alpsoy. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Haluk Bircanoğlu ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Haluk Bircanoğlu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hüsamettin Alpsoy was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. 76 minutes into the match, GNC FC's goal looked a bit too open when Erkan Tahir came free, but Karahan Erokay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. GNC FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Haluk Bircanoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 82 minutes into the game, one of Sögüt FK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When GNC FC's Bora Konguralp in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sögüt FK's goalie prevented a goal.
