But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ege Elmacı couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erim Tolunbay in the 70th minute of play forced Kocaelispor's goalkeeper Sezer Salahaddin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Kocaelispor's zone, Erim Tolunbay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sezer Salahaddin came out of the goal and Erim Tolunbay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ali Asım Tengizalp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Sezer Salahaddin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sezer Salahaddin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erim Tolunbay in the 78th minute of the match. When Ali Asım Tengizalp fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KARAMANSPOR's protests and gave Ali Asım Tengizalp a yellow card for diving instead. In the 80th minute, Ali Asım Tengizalp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Erim Tolunbay kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Varol Dengizer in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dilmen Kurumer saved KARAMANSPOR from getting behind. Varol Dengizer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
