Ataman Şahiner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kuddusî Taib in the 6th minute of the match. Ovovo FC's Gencalp Tekinsoy got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 13 played minutes Azdavay SK got a freekick which was hit by Ahmet Yahya Tüzüner. The supporters of Azdavay SK booed when Ovovo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Poyraz Batıray didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kuddusî Taib fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ataman Şahiner having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ogün Durusoy in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ataman Şahiner prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ogün Durusoy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Ataman Şahiner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kuddusî Taib struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Ataman Şahiner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Azdavay SK. Kuddusî Taib sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Kuddusî Taib had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Birsel Tuyuğ to strike the kick off in the second half. Ahmet Ceyhan Tandoğdu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Kuddusî Taib had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ataman Şahiner stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kuddusî Taib's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ogün Durusoy got free with Ataman Şahiner in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 67th minute of the match, Ogün Durusoy got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ataman Şahiner was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Ovovo FC's Ataman Şahiner proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Ovovo FC from getting a goal against them. Ogün Durusoy's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ataman Şahiner read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Ogün Durusoys short, quick shot in the 75thth minute got Ataman Şahiner to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Azdavay SK's Ferman Yürük played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Birsel Tuyuğ in the 76th minute of play. In the 78th minute, Birsel Tuyuğ made a precise shot to the right of Ferman Yürük. Azdavay SK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Ogün Durusoy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Ataman Şahiner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Azdavay SK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gencalp Tekinsoy was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 97th minute Birsel Tuyuğ shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferman Yürük saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Azdavay SK's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
