After a defensive mix-up in Kayserispor's zone, Şinasi Özbal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Çetin Başesgi came out of the goal and Şinasi Özbal tried to chip the ball over his head. Abdullah Direnç was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Murgul's Arif Buğra Talip got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arif Buğra Talip in the 39thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Çetin Başesgi, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Gürsel Mümin kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Arif Buğra Talip's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Çetin Başesgi was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. After having played for 86 minutes, Bulut Adıgüzel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Murgul's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bulut Adıgüzel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Arif Buğra Talip came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Murgul fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arif Buğra Talip couldn't finish the play. Arif Buğra Talip struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Çetin Başesgi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Murgul.
