Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Nuralp Altıparmak kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute, Nuralp Altıparmak made a precise shot to the right of Merih Tüzel. Giresunspor's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. When the match clock showed 6 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Nuralp Altıparmak sped through Giresunspor's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Merih Tüzel. Işıkalp Tümenbay lost his temper 10 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 9 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Giresunspor! If Lampros Choutos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nuralp Altıparmak in the 14th minute of play forced Giresunspor's goalkeeper Merih Tüzel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nuralp Altıparmak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Merih Tüzel having to interfere. When Lino Etxeberri came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the MERMİ FOOTBALL CLUB fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lino Etxeberri couldn't finish the play. Nuralp Altıparmak took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Merih Tüzel. Merih Tüzel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yüksel Ziver during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of MERMİ FOOTBALL CLUB booed when Giresunspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yüksel Ziver didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Dobri Dobrovskiy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. MERMİ FOOTBALL CLUB's Hadi Cenker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hasan Tahsin Melih in the 27th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Sefa Şerafeddin notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of MERMİ FOOTBALL CLUB's Hadi Cenker. Hadi Cenker was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Giresunspor's Sefa Şerafeddin got a free kick in the 35th minute. Mehmet Çağrı Sarih hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Yüksel Ziver hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Okanalp Abdulhakimoğlu might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hadi Cenker. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Okanalp Abdulhakimoğlu ran back to his position shaking his head.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hasan Tahsin Melih to strike the kick off in the second half. Merih Tüzel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nuralp Altıparmak in the 52nd minute of play. Merih Tüzel came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by MERMİ FOOTBALL CLUB's Nuralp Altıparmak. But to his dismay, Nuralp Altıparmak quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. When Arif Memduh Temizel fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MERMİ FOOTBALL CLUB's protests and gave Arif Memduh Temizel a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, MERMİ FOOTBALL CLUB's Arif Memduh Temizel got a free kick in the 58th minute. Yüksel Ziver hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Giresunspor's zone, Lampros Choutos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Merih Tüzel came out of the goal and Lampros Choutos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Tunç Ergüder fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Giresunspor's protests and gave Tunç Ergüder a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Giresunspor getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Tunç Ergüder hit a great ball. In the 67th minute, Sefa Şerafeddin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Merih Tüzel was out of position in the 70 minute of play, and Lampros Choutos capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lampros Choutos really showed his touch with that goal: 1-5. Özmen Yükselir's late challenge caught a MERMİ FOOTBALL CLUB's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Özmen Yükselir helped the player get up and apologised. In the 74th minute, Özmen Yükselir hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Merih Tüzel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nuralp Altıparmak's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. In the 76th match minute, Giresunspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Okanalp Abdulhakimoğlu to maneuver through the defense. When Sefa Şerafeddin came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Giresunspor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sefa Şerafeddin couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nuralp Altıparmak in the 87th minute of play forced Giresunspor's goalkeeper Merih Tüzel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Giresunspor defense, Lino Etxeberri kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Merih Tüzel. The Giresunspor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Merih Tüzel should have stopped the shot. Merih Tüzel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lino Etxeberri, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. MERMİ FOOTBALL CLUB played a much better game than Giresunspor and deserved their victory. The Giresunspor players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
