When Onurhan Köksan came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Eregli fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Onurhan Köksan couldn't finish the play. Fetih Çağaçar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Korkutalp Uluçam, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Eregli's zone, Bedri Kıncal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fetih Çağaçar came out of the goal and Bedri Kıncal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Sapanca getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Sezai Okman hit a great ball. If Onurhan Köksan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Göktan Vecdet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Fetih Çağaçar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Sapanca's Bedri Kıncal in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Eregli's goalie prevented a goal. In the 22nd minute, Eregli's Onurhan Köksan dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. After 26 minutes, Göktan Vecdet mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sapanca and the Eregli players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Korkutalp Uluçam in the 41st minute of play forced Eregli's goalkeeper Fetih Çağaçar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eyüp Yalkı could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Bumin Usal made a huge save. Fetih Çağaçar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bedri Kıncal in the 47th minute of the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bedri Kıncal to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Eregli's goal looked a bit too open when Bedri Kıncal came free, but Fetih Çağaçar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Korkutalp Uluçam recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Onurhan Köksan in the 93rd minute of play forced Sapanca's goalkeeper Bumin Usal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Sapanca getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Ferhat Cihaner hit a great ball. Onurhan Köksan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Eregli had won after a very even match.
