In the 12th minute, Ahmet Asım Alanson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Galatasaray SK's Aktaç Dağhan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ensar Sirri in the 13th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Sadri Sevgen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Haldun Toktimur. Reyhanli's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sadri Sevgen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Galatasaray SK's goalkeeper Aktaç Dağhan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Aktaç Dağhan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ensar Sirri, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. If Timur Topel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
