The supporters of REPUBLIC FENERBAHÇE booed when Görele JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Berkay Hatipoğlu didn't get a good kick on the ball. REPUBLIC FENERBAHÇE were awarded a corner in the 11th minute after Görele JK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Orhan Veli Soyselçuk took the corner. Görele JK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 29th minute Kandemir Özonder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdurrezzak Özbil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Orhan Veli Soyselçuk's late challenge caught a Görele JK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Orhan Veli Soyselçuk helped the player get up and apologised. After 32 played minutes REPUBLIC FENERBAHÇE got a freekick which was hit by Orhan Veli Soyselçuk. Raik Özsungur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gazi Özdeş in the 35th minute of play. After 38 minutes, Arman Varan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Görele JK and the REPUBLIC FENERBAHÇE players grew even worse after the yellow card. Kandemir Özonder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdurrezzak Özbil having to interfere. 45 minutes into the match, REPUBLIC FENERBAHÇE's goalkeeper Abdurrezzak Özbil had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Atay Akıncı. After having played for 47 minutes, Abdülhak Suersan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. REPUBLIC FENERBAHÇE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abdülhak Suersan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Ataman Özsevi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Berkay Hatipoğlu hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. REPUBLIC FENERBAHÇE's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Orhan Veli Soyselçuk in the 57th minute. Kandemir Özonder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdurrezzak Özbil having to interfere. 62 minutes into the match, Görele JK's goal looked a bit too open when Gazi Özdeş came free, but Raik Özsungur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kandemir Özonder struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Abdurrezzak Özbil didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Görele JK. A collision led to REPUBLIC FENERBAHÇE getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Garip Rıfkı hit a great ball. Atay Akıncı recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Abdurrezzak Özbil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kandemir Özonder, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 75 minutes into the game, Abdülhak Suersan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. REPUBLIC FENERBAHÇE's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Görele JK the free kick. The supporters of Görele JK booed when REPUBLIC FENERBAHÇE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdülhak Suersan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 76th minute, Kandemir Özonder got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Raik Özsungur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gazi Özdeş, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. When Recep Talha Eymen came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the REPUBLIC FENERBAHÇE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Recep Talha Eymen couldn't finish the play. Bilge Açıkgöz hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Atay Akıncı's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Abdurrezzak Özbil was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. If Gazi Özdeş had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. REPUBLIC FENERBAHÇE's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
