The audience was convinced that Folke Svanström's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bahtiyar Kotuzhan was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. Yusuf Bahadır Çelik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mustafa Ekrem Ünsan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 14th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bahtiyar Kotuzhan. Ergani FK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The DÖKÜNTÜSPOR fans' excitement grew in the 16th match minute when DÖKÜNTÜSPOR's Folke Svanström looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ali Haydar Sayın could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Turgut Tekmil made a huge save. After 21 played minutes DÖKÜNTÜSPOR got a freekick which was hit by Folke Svanström. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Okaner Lütufkâr managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ergani FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Okaner Lütufkâr was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Turgut Tekmil breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 25th minute, Samet Kuman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Ergani FK's Şenol Sarphan got a free kick in the 27th minute. 32 minutes into the game, DÖKÜNTÜSPOR's Folke Svanström nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bahtiyar Kotuzhan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Yusuf Bahadır Çelik in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bahtiyar Kotuzhan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Okaner Lütufkâr recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bahtiyar Kotuzhan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Folke Svanström in the 40th minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Fedele Ramundo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bahtiyar Kotuzhan was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Okaner Lütufkâr to make the kick off. Bahtiyar Kotuzhan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yusuf Bahadır Çelik in the 54th minute. 55 minutes into the match, Yusuf Bahadır Çelik notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Ergani FK's Bahtiyar Kotuzhan. Bahtiyar Kotuzhan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 90th minute of the match, Yusuf Bahadır Çelik got a very nice opportunity to score, but Bahtiyar Kotuzhan was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. DÖKÜNTÜSPOR's Folke Svanström got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. DÖKÜNTÜSPOR's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
