After taking down the ball on Tarabya's corner Ekrem Kutluay fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Tolunay Yalazabey quite easily take care of the ball. 9 minutes into the match, Ofspor's goal looked a bit too open when Erdal Direnç came free, but Tolunay Yalazabey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th minute, Orhan Veli Torkal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tolunay Yalazabey was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. If Erdal Direnç had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 18 minutes into the match, Ofspor's Erdem Lefter sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aycan Ceberut narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Erdal Direnç had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 23 minutes into the game, Orhan Veli Torkal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Tolunay Yalazabey was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpected shot in the 26th minute by Erdem Lefter got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The Ofspor fans' excitement grew in the 27th match minute when Ofspor's Emir Babürşah looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Erdal Direnç had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Varol Özdek hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. If Emir Babürşah had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tarabya's Aycan Ceberut played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emir Babürşah in the 48th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emir Babürşah made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Çağatay Arpacı hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aral Cumali kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Orhan Veli Torkal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Şerif Ceri struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Tolunay Yalazabey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tarabya. Tolunay Yalazabey made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erdal Direnç in the 64th minute. Ofspor's supporters rose to their feet, but Erdem Lefter was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aycan Ceberut breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Çağatay Arpacı hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. In the 82nd minute, Suphi Irmak sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Tarabya's Aycan Ceberut didn't even have to move. When Erdal Direnç came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Tarabya fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erdal Direnç couldn't finish the play. Pekin Sena hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. The supporters of Tarabya booed when Ofspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Varol Özdek didn't get a good kick on the ball.
