Sezai Sunguralp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Haydar Okaner in the 9th minute of the match. İslam Olgunsu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Kadri Taşcıoğlu in the 11th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Halkapinar's Şerafettin Toraman got a free kick in the 11th minute. Sezai Sunguralp didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 13th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Atalay Abide in the 16th minute of play forced Halkapinar's goalkeeper Sezai Sunguralp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute Ahmet Kağan Horasanlı shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sezai Sunguralp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of IFK Göteborg booed when Halkapinar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Birkan Alpman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Atalay Abide's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sezai Sunguralp read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Haydar Okaner hit a great ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. IFK Göteborg had played much better football throughout.
