Basyayla FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ahmet Korkut Sağun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Baklan JK's Kayacan Tekin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bayındır Mehmet Şömel in the 6th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Hüsrev Kutunalp managed to get in a good position for a shot. Baklan JK's supporters rose to their feet, but Hüsrev Kutunalp was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mirza Ruşen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bayındır Mehmet Şömel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Ahmet Korkut Sağun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hüsrev Kutunalp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Basyayla FK's Ahmet Korkut Sağun got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Basyayla FK's Bayındır Mehmet Şömel in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Baklan JK's goalie prevented a goal. Kayacan Tekin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bayındır Mehmet Şömel in the 30th minute of play. Kayacan Tekin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abdi Saygın İlighan in the 39th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Basyayla FK's Ahmet Vefik Tayguner got a free kick in the 45th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bayındır Mehmet Şömel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 50 minutes into the game, Basri Başar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Baklan JK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Basyayla FK the free kick. In the 50th match minute, Baklan JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Basri Başar to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 55 minutes, Bayındır Mehmet Şömel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bayındır Mehmet Şömel in the 84th minute of play forced Baklan JK's goalkeeper Kayacan Tekin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bayındır Mehmet Şömel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Okanalp Darcan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mirza Ruşen having to interfere. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
