The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Batur Hürol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rayko Statelov in the 3rd minute of play. Doganyol's Batur Hürol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Özen Akduman in the 24th minute of play. GemiciSpor's Rayko Statelov got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sungur Umay in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Batur Hürol saved Doganyol from getting behind. Cüneyd Kazakhan hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. 38 minutes into the match, GemiciSpor's Rayko Statelov sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Batur Hürol narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Yaman Savtekin fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Doganyol's protests and gave Yaman Savtekin a yellow card for diving instead. The goalkeeper, Batur Hürol, was totally fooled by GemiciSpor's Şahin Özerol, who 91 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 94th minute, Adrian Costea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
