After 19 minutes, Hıdır Haliloğlu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tarlabasi SK and the Topkapi players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Topkapi booed when Tarlabasi SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Duman Öksal didn't get a good kick on the ball. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ahmet Tolga Okbudun showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Tarlabasi SK's Ahmet Tolga Okbudun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alparslan İğdemir in the 39th minute of play. If Alparslan İğdemir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When İzzettin Aktaşlı came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Tarlabasi SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that İzzettin Aktaşlı couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Topkapi's Cengizhan Egeli got a free kick in the 56th minute. When Topkapi's Gökberk Hazer in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
