The Kalkandere fans' excitement grew in the 3rd match minute when Kalkandere's Ahmet Bülent Yazgı looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorukhan Pekgöz in the 6th minute of play forced İstiklal ASM's goalkeeper Tamer Akyıldız to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Ahmet Bülent Yazgı managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kalkandere's supporters rose to their feet, but Ahmet Bülent Yazgı was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tamer Akyıldız breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 14 minutes into the game, Kalkandere's Dorukhan Pekgöz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tamer Akyıldız made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After 17 minutes, Dorukhan Pekgöz made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. In the 28th minute Ahmet Bülent Yazgı shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tamer Akyıldız saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Doğaner Üner struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Necip Fazıl Özbilgin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for İstiklal ASM. Ahmet Bülent Yazgı fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tamer Akyıldız having to interfere. Selmi Kubilay charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Selmi Kubilay the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, İstiklal ASM's Selmi Kubilay got a free kick in the 35th minute. Dorukhan Pekgöz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Dorukhan Pekgöz put it in 0-5 from a short distance just to the right of Tamer Akyıldız. 44 minutes into the game, Kalkandere's Ahmet Bülent Yazgı nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. The wind increased when Yusuf Bilgetay made the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the game, one of Kalkandere:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 60th minute there was a penalty for İstiklal ASM. Barbaros Kırca stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Necip Fazıl Özbilgin. 1-6. After some careless play in the Kalkandere defense, Yusuf Bilgetay kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Necip Fazıl Özbilgin. The Kalkandere fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Necip Fazıl Özbilgin should have stopped the shot. Tamer Akyıldız acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 68th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Kılıç Ünalan. Kalkandere's Dorukhan Pekgöz got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Göktuğ Akıncı managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kalkandere's supporters rose to their feet, but Göktuğ Akıncı was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tamer Akyıldız breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dorukhan Pekgöz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 76th minute, Selmi Kubilay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in İstiklal ASM's zone, Dorukhan Pekgöz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tamer Akyıldız came out of the goal and Dorukhan Pekgöz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tamer Akyıldız made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dorukhan Pekgöz in the 82nd minute. Dorukhan Pekgöz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Tamer Akyıldız made a huge save. Doğaner Üner hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. The supporters of Kalkandere booed when İstiklal ASM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ensar Zülfikar didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 88 minutes, Dorukhan Pekgöz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kalkandere's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dorukhan Pekgöz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Göktuğ Akıncı struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Tamer Akyıldız didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kalkandere. İstiklal ASM's Tamer Akyıldız proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save İstiklal ASM from getting a goal against them. If Dorukhan Pekgöz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kalkandere's Dorukhan Pekgöz got a good chance for a goal in the 98th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kalkandere's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
