The referee showed Ceyhan Taşan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 6 played minutes Edremit got a freekick which was hit by Ceyhan Taşan. A hard shot by Olgun Mertol from long distance, 6 minutes into the match, got Özmen Nefi's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 9th minute, KARAKÖY's Tekin Mevlit dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Özmen Nefi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tolunay Barlas in the 25th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Acar Açıkgöz got free with Özmen Nefi in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tayyar Yalçın made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Seyfi Tarhun in the 31st minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Armağan Tunçhan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tayyar Yalçın was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Tayyar Yalçın showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Seyfi Tarhun in the 36th minute of the match. If Tolunay Barlas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Ceyhan Taşan thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Özmen Nefi, a very annoying self made goal in the 52nd minute which led to 2-1. In the 55th minute, Acar Açıkgöz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The KARAKÖY fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Özmen Nefi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baskın Dürüst, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 65 minutes into the game, when Baha Karabulut put in a rough tackle. Çelik Yalazay placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Armağan Tunçhan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Tayyar Yalçın tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 75 minutes into the game, Armağan Tunçhan recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tayyar Yalçın. Armağan Tunçhan showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-2. In the 84thth minute of the game Acar Açıkgöz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Edremit's Özmen Nefi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Acar Açıkgöz managed to get in a good position for a shot. KARAKÖY's supporters rose to their feet, but Acar Açıkgöz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Özmen Nefi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tekin Mevlit struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Özmen Nefi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KARAKÖY. Özmen Nefi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Acar Açıkgöz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armağan Tunçhan in the 93rd minute of play forced KARAKÖY's goalkeeper Tayyar Yalçın to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. KARAKÖY's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
