After 11 minutes, Ertaç Mahçup made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Mersin FK's Lütfi Dursunali tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. KARŞIYAKA's Ahmet Fikret Keskinel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save KARŞIYAKA from getting a goal against them. Lütfi Dursunali made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Battal Cüneyt Lema in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st minute, Özbek Akçakaya hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Çağdaş Seyran during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Lütfi Dursunali stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ertaç Mahçup's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Yusuf Bahadır Sümer kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. In the 37th minute Cihan Şahbey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lütfi Dursunali saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Battal Cüneyt Lema in the 38th minute of play forced Mersin FK's goalkeeper Lütfi Dursunali to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lütfi Dursunali took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ertaç Mahçup, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ertaç Mahçup stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute of the match Acun Sertel sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ahmet Fikret Keskinel skillfully saved the ball. With a little luck, Mersin FK's Lütfi Dursunali got control of the ball when Battal Cüneyt Lema tried to sneak it across the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, Mersin FK's goalkeeper Lütfi Dursunali had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cihan Şahbey. Ertaç Mahçup did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-7 to the left of a surprised Lütfi Dursunali 66 minutes into the match. 71 minutes into the game, Cihan Şahbey cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-8. Lütfi Dursunali was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Battal Cüneyt Lema could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Lütfi Dursunali made a huge save. 76 minutes into the match, Ertaç Mahçup dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Lütfi Dursunali, 0-9. The audience thought a goal was coming when Battal Cüneyt Lema got free with Lütfi Dursunali in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mersin FK's defense didn't have a chance, in the 84th minute, when Battal Cüneyt Lema scored to the left of an out of position Lütfi Dursunali, making the score, 0-10. The KARŞIYAKA fans' excitement grew in the 88th match minute when KARŞIYAKA's Ertaç Mahçup looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-11 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A sloppy throw-in by Çağdaş Seyran in the 95th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Mersin FK's Fetih Ruhsan. Lütfi Dursunali made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Ertaç Mahçup sent off a good shot on target. KARŞIYAKA's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
