Spectators: 6673 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Başar Pozan got the match started through his kick off. After a rather tough play, Karacasu SK's Ragıp Ersayın got a free kick in the 4th minute. Baha Cansoy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Kıvanç Eyüpoğlu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Özmen Sertaçgil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from İsrafil Acunalp in the 12th minute of play. Mümtaz Pekdeger recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kıvanç Eyüpoğlu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from İshak Çağar, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Karacasu SK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Van the free kick. İsrafil Acunalp hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. If Baha Cansoy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 63 minutes into the game, one of Karacasu SK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. İshak Çağar's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Kıvanç Eyüpoğlu firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 76th minute, Baha Cansoy left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Van fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. In the 84th minute, Atıf Özdeş hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
