Galatasaray's supporters rose to their feet, but Tuna Tükel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nadir Akçakıl breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Galatasaray defense, Abdulbaki Polatalp kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ferdi Ersoy. The Galatasaray fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ferdi Ersoy should have stopped the shot. Emirhan Ferhat might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ferdi Ersoy. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emirhan Ferhat ran back to his position shaking his head. Şerafettin Enbiya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nadir Akçakıl having to interfere. Şerafettin Enbiya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Baran Alp Ozansu's late challenge caught a Galatasaray's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Baran Alp Ozansu helped the player get up and apologised. Balgat FK's Nadir Akçakıl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Şerafettin Enbiya in the 48th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 60th minute of the match, Şerafettin Enbiya tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Nadir Akçakıl saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 61st minute Boğaç Polat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferdi Ersoy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
